here is an illustration I did recently for the UX mastery website, who I have been doing several illustrations a week for, over the past few months.
Hope you had a good one...

Big Roo Road
Here are a couple of sneak peeks at what may be the biggest, most detailed drawing i have done for years. I worked on it on weekends over summer.
The big Roo Road is all about details, everything is in focus like a pattern and it is also a bit narrative with a single character moving through the landscape. I haven't quite finished it but here are some details...

Another simple vector bush background
Spending some spare time coming up with new and easier ways to make simple, bold bush landscapes in illustrator... Oh and designing more roo characters of course.

Berg, Claudia and Lucky Joe
Hello, long time no post.
I have been busy with a bunch of things I will reveal shortly. I thought I had better get some new posts up with some of the other work I have been doing this year.
Here is a picture I did for some friends, Bergen and Claudia and Lucky Joe. These guys live up in Castlemaine and we went up recently to catch up with them. We had missed their birthdays so I made this picture and got a nice A3 print of it made.
It has a sort of old fashioned comic book look to it with everything coloured and textured with mechanical lines and ben day dots. I started of using just the 4 basic printing colours but along the way I added a few more colours.

I am pretty excited about the fantastic GRAPHIC festival coming to the Sydney Opera House in late August.
Scott Mccloud, Jim Woodring, Peter Kuper and amazingly Robert Crumb!
I have bought my tickets and I'm especially looking forward to the masterclasses.
Long long ago on one of my first internet sites I conducted a short email interview with fantastic comics and stencil artist Peter Kuper. I think it was way back in 2001 or 2001.
It is still online and here is a link to it: Peter Kuper Stencil Art.
Of course most of the attention will be focused on that old curmudgeon R.Crumb! I think it is his first trip to Australia, I wonder if Aline is coming along too? It should be fun...
